Amongst the top rated Astrology apps out there, Co-star and Sanctuary are used the most by millennials and a similar target audience that I will be reaching. A SWOT analysis was conducted on each app, and a look into their market positioning provided insight on how to best approach the design for my app.

Some reading can be included in my app, like all astrology apps have, but podcasts will stand out from the competition because it will help users reduce screen time while still being able to use the app. There is still not yet an astrology app that uses a podcast format, or includes a self-care and goal tracking feature. These two aspects will be my competitive advantage within the same market as other astrology apps.
A variety of self-care apps, such as Care/of and Headspace (above), were examined for their content organization, layouts, use of goal tracking, and podcast features to aid the ideation and sketching process for Beluna Astrology app.
